Dear Members, players, and patrons.
I would like to start by welcoming everyone back to the club for the upcoming season and am looking forward to supporting our Senior section in their new path moving forward.
Since stepping into the Chairman role in my transition from the youth management, I have been working behind the scenes with fellow committee members to try and direct the club internally to a more modern business approach. Until now we as a backbone have been spending time trying to implement a direction of firm structure to stabilize the club management throughout. It is certainly clear from my own observations and discussions with fellow club members that we have some challenging hurdles we need to face. Some of these areas are in desperate need of attention and at this moment of time take priority with immediate effect.
In the past few weeks, I have been trying to secure our bar franchisee contract and in particular work within this area to direct our front of house accordingly in our time of club repair. Unfortunately, the time has come for us as a club to look at different options for our club house management. As of my meeting to date with Josh and Andy, they have decided to part their ways from Chingford Rugby Club. The Jordan family have kindly agreed to support us as a club and remain at front of house until myself and the committee can secure a suitable candidate that we feel can drive the club forward with us on our new path.
Please see attached our offer for bar tender. We will also consider bringing the bar in house on a seasonal trial base.
I would like to personally thank the Jordan family as a whole for all their contributions that they have given to the club over the past years, and look forward to welcoming them as they continue to support the club they are proudly fond of.
Mark Rabey
Club Chairman
